All levels are welcome. In a relaxed and fun atmosphere, learn how to sculpt proportions, expressions and movements of the entire body in clay by learning a sculpting strategy to create a proportionally ideal small figure study without a model. Based on the "eight head" system (described by Vitruvius Pollio in his influential books on architecture), understand a methodology that involves cutting a block of clay into units to create a symmetrically-proportioned figure in height, width and length. Additionally, students may use this session as open studio time with a model present and work on independent projects, independent study or continued work from previous sessions.
Saturdays 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
