This 4-week course is a continuation of Clay Hicks' introduction to wheel throwing, glazing, and other decorative techniques. Students will explore how to prepare clay, form it on the potter's wheel, finish the surface and have the work fired. Details such as tools, glaze properties and kiln safety will also be discussed, along with references to the general history of ceramics.
Thursdays, 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Participants have a choice of class with studio access, or class with instruction only. Participants who choose limited access have studio access only on class days.
