This is a micaceous red clay from the Manzano Mountains outside Albuquerque. Tribes in Northern New Mexico used similar clays to make traditional cooking pots, which (as is the case for all cookware) require a bisque between cone 010 and 017.
Packaged by New Mexico Clay, its maximum recommended cone temperature is cone 04.
