CUPS: Hundreds of Cups!

Santa Fe Clay presents
CUPS: Hundreds of Cups!
Please stay tuned, MORE IMAGES TO COME!

Every few years, Santa Fe Clay presents a large invitational exhibit highlighting the humble ceramic drinking vessel. 150 artists from the national field have been invited to each send 2 pieces to be included in this exhibit. These will include handled mugs for hot drinks, tumblers for cold drinks, yunomis (traditional Japanese-style tea cups made for the informal drinking of tea), shot glasses, goblets, and any other style of cup that the artists fancy.

Some cups will be hand-built, some wheel-thrown. High-fired porcelain or stoneware, terra cotta, earthenware, or raku fired, functional or purely sculptural, all the cups will be original interpretations of this common household object.

The cups will be displayed on a continuous shelf that wraps the entire gallery which will be filled with 200 unique and varied interpretations of the form, a visual delight!
